Lots of early shows for Cindy and Mary!!
Do you think its beneficial to WOD @ different
times on different days? Should your WOD times
be as constantly varied as your WOD's?

Excellent question.. now that you mention it, i try to time my wods so that I have a relatively even amount of time between WODs and scheduled PT rest days I try to rest completely.. could this be sabotaging my capacity ???

I think playing with WOD times can be very useful! I played around with it while deployed and found I couldn't get up at 0500 and do a WOD, but I could do a strength workout. I've got to be up for long enough to get my bearings, warm up for a while, and stretch, which doesn't work in the (usually) time-constrained morning. All that being said, I think ideally I would like to vary my workout times, I just need flexibility in my schedule to allow for enough wake-up/warm-up time.

So, like usual, I'll be in at 1700 today.

Jamie poses an excellent question. As do Tom and JReece. For me the issue is also time for my kids, wife, work, and study. I will never miss a WOD, but it has to be done where it does not negatively affect my relationship with my wife, quality time with my kids, or my ability to complete the tasks my job requires of me. The WOD definetly stays on my schedule, but it is usually always between 0400 and 1200. My family is first, and therefore too important to me to give up evenings with them, so I come when I can.

I haven`t done this since Feb so it was a PR from the first attempt. haha yatta!

Simple answer, I'd say yes it's beneficial to vary workout times on different days. As others have said, though, that's hard to put into practice with other schedule constraints. I remember in one of the videos, Dave Castro talks about varying not just when WODs are done, but also the conditions they're done under (i.e. outside during the hottest part of the day, cold conditions, sleep deprived, with no food for a while beforehand, lots of food beforehand, etc). I guess it lends to constantly being in that "ready state?"
